If you have installed and started DynamIPS (the DynamIP NT
Service) and DynamIP does not get started you should verify the
following:
| Is DynamIPS really started? Check by clicking the "Services" icon in your NT
Control Panel. Once the Service Control Manager is running verify that DynamIP is indeed
in the state Started. If you want NT to start this service
automatically at startup you should change the setting of DynamIPS to Automatic. |
| Do you have a copy of DynamIP installed in the same directory
from which you installed DynamIPS? The DynamIP NT Service will
only start DynamIP if it is in the same directory (i.e. both
files DynamIPS.exe and DynamIP.exe must be in the same directory). If you want to move the
DynamIP NT Service to a different directory you must first
uninstall the service, then move the file DynamIPS.exe to the new directory, and then
reinstall the service from the new directory. |
